I felt the baby move

Last night I was laying in bed and I felt the baby move. This is my first pregnancy so I wasn't sure if what I felt was really the baby moving. So I started talking to the baby asking him/her to move again. I felt the same movement again. It felt like I was being kicked. So what do I do. I ran in the office and told Cole I just felt our baby move, then I got on Facebook and asked if it was even possible for me to feel the baby move at 17 weeks. Everyone said yes. I remember my doctor telling me at the last visit I should start feeling the baby move, but it could feel like several different things and some people might not feel it for sure til after 18 weeks..

I am so excited. This is a first for me and lets just say I got a little teary eyed. I can't wait for Cole to be able to feel our baby. People, on Facebook, started telling me stories about how I will be able to see their little foot and hands when they move a little further down the line. I think at first it might kind of weird me out.

1 more week til we know what we are having.. This is taking FOREVER..

What's going on..

These next few weeks are going to be CRAZY..

June 18 - niece #3 was born
July 27 or August 1 - niece #4 will be here
July 31 - my hubby and I will celebrate our 1year anniversary . I can't believe its been almost a year since we got married.
August 5 - We find out if we are having a BOY or GIRL
August 7 - I turn 25 - I am a little scared of turning 25.. I know its not old, but it makes me feel old. I'm sure I might cry or throw a hissy fit

I seriously know 19 people that are pregnant right now, or that have had a baby in the last two months.. There must be something in the water.

Note to self -  Start taking belly pictures.

Husband comment #2

My husband cracks me up sometimes.. This is one of our many strange conversations.

He recently got a new paintball gun and was shooting it, at the fence, in the back yard. He comes inside and says ...

Cole: Come outside and run around so I can shoot you with my paintball gun..
Me: NOOOOO ! What if you hit my stomach?
Cole: I'll just aim for your head.
Me: You could hurt the baby or put a dint in it's head
Cole: Nah.. You will be ok.
Me: So you want our baby to have a dint in its head??
Cole: No. I just want to see you try to run and shoot you with a paintball gun..
Me: Thanks hunny I love you too.

Gotta love him :)

Husband Comment #1

After last nights comment from my husband, I think I am going to learn how to fake cry.

Cole: You look like a beached whale (I was laying on the bed, eating a bag of chips)

Me: Thanks!! I can't wait to hear what your gonna say when I'm 9 months pregnant

Cole: Your Welcome

Me: You better be glad I know your joking and I'm not all hormonal, or I would have gone all ape sh*t on you.

Cole: Yeah Yeah.. You know I love you

I am so glad that I have not been an emotional pregnant lady.. I do have my days where I cry watching a TV show, but those days do not happen that often.

13 weeks check up

So today we went in for our monthly check up. We thought we were going to hear the heart beat, but we were unable to hear it. So the nurse took me to do a ultrasound, and we got to see the heartbeat !! Our baby now has arms and legs and he/she even raised its arm for us . The picture isn't that great, but you can see its little arm raised.

GOOD NEWS!!!! We find out what we are having AUG 5

How far along: 13 weeks

Babe size: size of a peach

Total weight gain/loss: I lost another 7lbs - this is due to eating better and not drinking soda

Sleep: I sleep any chance I get. I'm still exhausted all day.

Movement: No movement yet. The doctor told me I should be able to fill the baby move within the next 2 weeks

Food cravings/aversions: pickles and Mexican food

Pregnancy Symptoms: The puking is almost over with. I get sick every now and then. Now its just headaches all the time.

What I miss: Being able to button my jeans. I am not yet in maternity cloths, so i am wearing my normal jeans. So when I set down I have to unbutton my pants because they are too tight.

What I'm looking forward to: Our next appointment. We find out what we are having. I am hoping for a boy. Cole says he doesn't care either way.

Milestones: I have started eating a a lot better. I am trying more food.

Best moment this week. When Cole touched my stomach and started talking to the baby.

I am starting to get a baby bump. Pictures to come soon.

9 Weeks

We had our first Dr. appointment today. Everything looks great so far. I am 9 weeks. We go back June 30. We seen the heartbeat, but we didn't get to hear it :(. My OBGYN is AWESOME. She drew little eyes on the baby..

How far along: 9 weeks

Babe size: size of a green olive

Total weight gain/loss: I lost 5lbs - this is due to eating better and not drinking soda

Sleep:  I'm exhausted all day, but when I lie down, it takes a good fifteen to thirty minutes to fall asleep. And I sleep more lightly than ever... I have to get up every 2 hours to pee..

Movement: No movement yet.

Food cravings/aversions: I found that I get sick every time I drink milk or eat ice cream. No food cravings yet

Pregnancy Symptoms: Lots of nausea and achy-ness. I am tired ALL THE TIME. I feel like I have no energy and walking from the bedroom to the kitchen seems like a mile long walk

What I miss: SODA. I still have one a day, or every other day

What I'm looking forward to: Our next appointment. We are suppose to be able to hear the heat beat

Milestones: I have stopped drinking a lot of soda. (if you really know me, you know this was very hard)

Best moment this week. Seeing the blob baby for the first time. It made everything seem real
I am going to try to do this every week, or at least every time I go to the doctor

This baby is sucking the life out of me..

I am TIRED all the time.. I am normally in bed by 7:30-8:00 p.m. now... I fell like a 90+ year old woman. I keep reading that its normal to be extremely tired during the first trimester of pregnancy, but it doesn't feel normal to me.. I feel like I'm sleeping my life away.

Don't get my wrong I am super excited and feel very blessed that we are expecting a child. I just wish I didn't feel like I am going to fall asleep all the time.. Like today, at work.. I had a few minutes of down time, and the next thing I know 20 minutes had had gone by... I fell asleep at work .... AHHHHHHHHH !!!!! Glad my boss wasn't here for that minor mistake.

P.S. Prenatal vitamins SUCK !!! I could go on and on about how bad they SUCK, but I'm sure if you have been pregnant, you have taking them..

P.S.S. We go see the doc Thursday for our FIRST APPOINTMENT !!

OBGYN

I have had the same OBGYN since high school.. I love her, she is AWESOME. She is also the OBGYN that delivered my sister's two kids. However, She is no longer my OBGYN.

Here are some of the reasons.. ( you might think I'm being too picky)
1. Her staff members are incredible RUDE.. It is very uncalled for. I called a few times to ask some very important questions (well at least they were important to ME) and was basically called an IDIOT... Not cool by me at all.
2. It was going to cost me almost $1500 more to have my baby using her.
3. I ALWAYS have to wait over an hour to be seen at her office. The last time I went in, I was there for 3 1/2 hours...

There are more reasons, but these are the top 3

Morning sickness VS Heartburn

Morning sickness - I can say I have a few episodes of morning sickness (I'm not sure it was morning sickness)

Episode one
75 mph + milk + peanut butter crackers = Me throwing up on the side of the interstate... Milk is not suppose to come out of your nose.. When it does it hurts..
Episode two
just got home from a 16 hour car ride to/from Missouri in 1 1/2 days. I ended up getting sick  and spent all weekend in bed.
I think its motion sickness... but who knows..

Heartburn - I get it after almost every time I eat.. Sometimes I wake up at night and it feels like my chest is on fire... Very uncomfortable and I can not go back to sleep without propping 3-4 pillows behind my back... If you have not ever had to sleep like this, IT SUCKS !!!!

I must say, after hearing some of my friends stories, I will take heartburn over morning sickness any day..

Water - makes me want to vomit

If I drink anymore water.... I might POP.. Before I got pregnant I WAS NOT a water drinker.. I would drink 1 bottle of water a week, if that.. It was all soda for me.. I am thankful my kidney's still work.. So after finding out I was pregnant, I began to drink water.. 4-5 16.9 FL OZ bottles a day... I am sure by body is loving me now.. I still have a soda or two, but make sure I drink extra water when I do..

Anyways, Back to the whole I might explode thing... I went on a quick trip to Missouri last Thursday and Friday, and lets just say I slacked in the drink-lots-of-water-for-your-baby-until-you-pop department.. By Saturday the baby was screaming for water.. I went into drink-lots-of-water-for-your-baby-until-you-pop mood... OVERTIME !!! I have never peed so much in my entire life (sorry if that's too much info)... I will say my side isn't hurting and I am not cramping...

LESSON LEARNED... until next time..

P.S.
We added a few boy names to our list .

My pick
Mason
Logan - Husband is 50/50
Brayden -  Husband said NO
His pick
Drake - I am 50/50

Picking out names

It might be too early to start picking out names, but I think it's fun and wanted to start discussing names right away... My excitement was short lived when I gave my husband the list of names I came up with...

BOYS NAME'S (I picked)
Lucas
Zander
Cayden
Bryson
Zane
Zayden
Cade
Grayson
Easton
Keagen
Jaxon
Corbin
** My husband said NO to all the ones that are crossed out... He still hasn't giving me any suggestions for a boys name

GIRL NAME'S ( I picked)
Avery
Addyson
Harper
Chloe
Sofie
Maci
Raegan
** My husband didn't like any of the girl names....

He did suggest two girl names
Jessica
Aubrey
I said NO to Jessica.. I do like Aubrey..

For a girl the middle name will probable be Kaymarie - Kay is my mom's middle name and Marie is my mother-in-law's middle name.. Maire is also my middle name

This is an ongoing debate... We might have the kid before we agree on a  name.

WE'RE EXPECTING !!!!

Yes I took 3 test.. The bottom one is the first one I took (just a cheapo from Wal Mart).. Waiting for an answer, while staring at the pee stick, seemed to take FOREVER... When it came up positive I ran into the computer room and told my husband. At first he was speechless, then shocked, then excited.. I was jumping-with-joy!! I called my friend, Codie, and told her I wanted to we needed to go get another test.. I just couldn't believe that the first one was right..

Long story short ... 2 more positive test = PREGNANT !!!!

I wanted to keep the pee sticks.. My husband thought I was being weird and said that it was disgusting.. I didn't end up keeping them, after 2 days the pregnant and pink lines went away.
